It really saddens me to know that one of the iconic restaurants in Baguio City was burned last Saturday afternoon. Accourding to news, only patrial was burned but I don’t know if they will still operate.
Cafe by the Ruins’ structure is made up of light native materials like bamboo that gives the restaurant a very distict ambiance. It is also a reason why it is easily flamable.
I got a chance to visit them few years ago. Food and ambiance is really great though it was a little bit pricey.
The movie ‘that thing called tadhana’ filmed some scenes in this restaurant which gives the restaurant additional fame.
They also have other branch within Baguio City but their ambiance was not as good as the original branch.
Note: most photos are from Google.com
Sad story, really cool pics though!
